The Environmental team is seeking a self-motivated, team-oriented Intern for the summer at Faro Mine Remediation Project (FMRP). This position is based at the former Faro Mine site. This position will involve a mix of field and office work.

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

  • Working within a team apply basic scientific principles, theories, practices and existing technologies to develop solutions for technical problems.
  • The role may include assisting our environmental team with sampling and other on-site environmental technician roles as required.
  • Collect and enter data.
  • Working within a team interpret data, conducts analyses, compare findings to relevant studies and local, territorial, and federal regulations to ensure compliance.
  • Assist the project manager and design team with various tasks such as attending weekly project calls, support preparation of internal updates to AECOM and client, support in coordination of planning for field programs and subcontractors.
Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent
Preferred Qualifications
  • Valid driver\xe2\x80\x99s license
  • Enrolled in an undergraduate program or graduation from an entry level environmental program
  • Strong written and verbal communication
  • Experience in environmental sampling, reclamation or remediation
