Position: Environmental Health and Safety Consultant
Location: Scarborough, ON
Job Type: Full-time (2 days in office)
Our esteemed client, a leading force in energy distribution, is actively seeking a skilled Environmental, Health, and Safety Consultant to augment their Scarborough-based team. This pivotal role involves comprehensive consultation with business units, formulation, and execution of robust EHS programs, ensuring a secure and environmentally conscious workplace.

Key Responsibilities:

- Conduct thorough health and safety inspections across diverse environments.
- Analyze data, furnishing comprehensive reports, and actionable recommendations for EHS enhancement
- Efficiently manage client assignments, collaborating with both internal and external resources
- Develop, implement, and meticulous monitore of effective EHS systems, programs, and protocols
- Facilitate return-to-work initiatives and maintain seamless communication with regulatory bodies
- Supervise environmental management programs while delivering specialized training on a spectrum of EHS topics
- Provide rotational after-hours standby support as required

Requirements:

- Bachelor\'s or undergraduate degree in Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field
- At least 5 years\' progressive experience in EHS or industrial hygiene
- Proficiency in audits, enforcement, risk assessment, managing high capital expenditure, and incident investigation
- Possession of the Canadian Registered Safety Professional (CRSP) designation
- Profound knowledge of Management Systems - ISO 45000, 14001
- An additional asset: Postgraduate certificate/diploma in Environment, Health, and Safety
- Valid G driver\'s license, comfortable with site visits
