Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented

Environmental Field Technician

to join our team! In this role you will get to

work in a support role alongside the Project Manager on environmental projects in Northern Canada.

What You'll Be Doing:

Performs routine, non-routine and occasionally heavy labor tasks related to on-site environmental monitoring and sampling activities, as directed by the Mine Manager and Project Manager. Activities will include, but not be limited to: + monitoring surface water and groundwater levels
+ collecting surface and groundwater samples
+ operate and maintain data collection equipment
+ surveying
+ maintain and update documentation and record logs
+ other tasks as directed by the Mine Manager
Tests, calibrates, repairs, and modifies control and instrumentation systems at on-site locations under general supervision. Some assignments are undertaken independently. May give some leadership and guidance to lower level Technicians. Prepares required field and office reports of various activities and findings. May initiate reports and/or establish and maintain logs and records. Performs other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.

What Required Skills You'll Bring:

High School diploma, or equivalent, and typically 6+ years of related work experience, or a Associate's Degree in a related field with 4+ years of experience Experience completing environmental monitoring and sampling at remote mines in either NWT or Yukon Comfortable traveling to and working on remote sites with difficult/challenging access Valid drivers license. Competency in performing typical Technician assignments and responsibilities, as well as tasks and testing techniques related to operations
