Based in Brandon, Manitoba, we synthesize and blend nitrogen, phosphate, and sulfur products with ammonia, which we market primarily in the prairie provinces of Canada and the northern United States. Operating 24 hours a day, 365 days per year, we employ approximately 270 dedicated team members. Our fundamental commitment to safety, health, and environmental stewardship drives all our processes.

What You Will Do
  • Support day-to-day environmental program implementation, including communication with field operators regarding Environmental License requirements and problem solving when questions or issues come up
  • Support environmental reporting obligations such as incident reporting, monthly air and water reports associated with the Environment Act License, National Pollutant Release Inventory, and Greenhouse Gas Emission Inventory, among others
  • Develop and deliver site level training and stewardship systems to meet environmental regulatory requirements
  • Act as Environmental support for the Projects Team by identifying environmental requirements, potential risks, and opportunities to improve existing work processes
  • Support during agency inspections and internal audits.
  • Develop and foster relations with all environmental regulatory departments with site jurisdiction
  • Track and develop implementation plans for environmental-based regulatory advancements and emerging issues
  • Participate in sharing knowledge across the organization (KII and KAES) and seek input from internal and external resources to make decisions that support stewardship and value creation.
  • Take initiatives and be able to work independently
  • Organize and maintain your day accordingly
  • Availability for flexible hours based on job requirements
  • Must be able to travel up to 10% of the time
Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to work outdoors in all types of weather
  • Ability to climb stairs, ladders and work at heights
  • Pass a pulmonary breathing test
  • Ability to wear a gas mask-type respirator and PPE
  • Ability to work in an industrial manufacturing environment
  • Unassisted physical mobility in and around plant and equipment
  • Manual dexterity required to use desktop computer and peripherals
  • Ability to sit, stand, kneel as necessary
  • Ability to travel to and enter site to access equipment
Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)
  • Experience operating irrigation systems
  • Experience conducting and gathering monitoring well and soil samples
  • Familiarity with managing industrial waste
What Will Put You Ahead
  • Post-secondary education in an Environmental Science or related engineering or science field (i.e. Chemistry, Geology, Biology)
  • Experience with stack testing and environmental remediation
  • Two (2) years of related work experience with a field work component, preferably in an industrial setting
  • Experience with specific regulatory requirements in Manitoba and/or Federal Output-Based Pricing System requirements
  • Experience developing and delivering compliance training
  • Experience and/or aptitude preparing environmental regulatory submittals
  • Experience interacting with regulatory agencies
  • Knowledge of continuous improvement and efficiency models
  • Knowledge of developing and executing a sustainability plan
  • Experience with Microsoft office suite
