Job description Project Manager Matcon Environmental is hiring a Project Manager who will be reporting directly to the Environmental Division Manager. This is a full-time salaried position based on experience and education. Standard Matcon Benefits package is included in the position. The Project Manager will be reporting directly to the Environmental Division Manager Duties and Responsibilities
  • Utilize relationships and industry connections to identify and bid Environmental Construction based projects.
  • Review plans & specifications to determine scope of work and to define project requirements
  • Develop complete estimates for tender submissions on small, medium, and large environmental construction projects
  • All aspects of project management including startup, cost, schedule, change management, quality, safety, environmental, client interface, operations, billing, collections and closeout
  • Communication with clients and stakeholders to develop and maintain solid, long-term relationships
Qualifications and Experience
  • Preferable Post-secondary, Bachelor program or technical education in an Environmental, Construction or similar industry-related program
  • Industry Experience \xe2\x80\x93 5-10 years
  • Industry experience preference is project manager/coordinator in an environmental construction company or project manager level with environmental consulting experienc

  • Marketing Ability \xe2\x80\x93 Be able to locate and track project opportunities identified through mining your industry network

  • Driven - self-motivated and driven to push things forward no matter the circumstance
  • Strong project management skills- ability to track budgets, change orders, field reports, weekly progress reports. complete invoicing etc.
  • Personable - able to build and maintain solid relationships with coworkers and clients and translate that into successful project work
  • Strong communication skills both verbal and written when dealing with clients, subcontractors, and any other stakeholders
  • Technology \xe2\x80\x93 proficient in MS Project
Wage: \xc2\xb7 $80,000\xe2\x80\x93$105,000/year dependent on experience \xc2\xb7 Eligible to participate in the Matcon Bonus Plan Location:
  • Coquitlam \xe2\x80\x93 Some travel required to locations around British Columbia, Yukon and NWT for site visits, bidders\xe2\x80\x99 meetings, and ongoing PM activities.
Job Type: Full-time Salary: $80,000.00-$105,000.00 per year Benefits:
