Environment Contracts Administrator 1

Annual salary: $ 52,700.00 - 57,800.00
What you'll do
Provides procurement and contract administration support to Environment staff by: preparing and processing various
contracts, work orders, material requests/requisitions and contract changes; following-up with vendors as required;
maintaining complete and accurate file records; tracking and documenting vendor performance and reporting on contractor
Key Performance Indicators to management; monitoring contract status to recommend contract changes; reviewing,
processing and routing invoices and contract requests to management for approval and following-up as required; working
with Finance to identify monthly accruals to process; and acting as initial point of contact for Environment staff/vendors and
Supply Chain/Accounts Payable to resolve issues and escalates issues to Environmental Contracts Administrator (ECA) 2
as appropriate.
Provides guidance and training to Environment staff and vendors on administrative, procurement, contract administration
and invoicing processes and procedures to ensure compliance with policies and how to use systems and applications.
Communicates updates to processes and procedures to Environment staff.
Responds to inquiries related to procurement, contract and invoicing processes and procedures from Environment staff
and vendors. Refers inquiries to others (ECA 2, Supply Chain, Accounts Payable and Finance) as required.
Provides a range of administrative, clerical and business support services such as: scheduling meeting logistics; reviewing
and processing local purchases, employee expense claims and time entry; coordinating department office moves and
accommodations; onboarding and offboarding employees and contractors; and ordering and maintaining office supplies and
equipment.
Assists the Management Team with tracking metrics, running various reports and updating dashboards.
Performs duties of a minor nature related to the above duties that do not affect the rating of the job.
What you bring
High School graduation and one (1) year of contract and office administrative experience.
Post-secondary courses or experience in contract administration considered an asset.
Requires in-house training in BC Hydro systems (SAP and supply chain management system); or complete in-house
training within one (1) month of starting in the job.

This is for a full-time regular (FTR) MoveUP Group 6 opportunity, based at our Dunsmuir office in downtown Vancouver,
BC.
This position will support admin, contracts, planning and document management functions for Environmental and
Indigenous Relations consultation work for the North Coast Transmission group of projects.
As part of the selection process, applicants may be required to take a written test/assessment during the interview.
Skills, Knowledge and Abilities Required:
Excellent working knowledge of office administrative, clerical and business functions.
Excellent understanding of procurement, contract and invoicing processes and procedures.
Ability to prepare, update and maintain contract related documentation.
Strong computer skills in Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Outlook and Visio).
Knowledge of corporate applications and systems (SAP, FileNet, PowerOn, Cognos, and supply chain management
system).
Strong customer service skills.
Strong problem solving skills.
Well-developed written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to keyboard with speed and accuracy.
Excellent organizational and time management skills.
Able to work independently and as part of a team.
Ability to run queries and reports and prepare reports from large data sets.
Works in a normal office environment. Some positions require occasional overnight travel. May be required to attend
meetings at various offices.
Occasional lifting of boxes and deliveries of moderate weight.
