We are an independent consultancy specializing in patient-centered research, epidemiology, evidence synthesis, and health economics. Our multidisciplinary team includes epidemiologists, health economists, statisticians, qualitative researchers, and IT specialists. Projects are led by senior team members with extensive experience across a wide range of HEOR studies, and we collaborate closely with academic and clinical experts to deliver high-quality, meaningful research.
Role Overview:
We are seeking an
Entry-Level
Statistician
to join our growing team and contribute to a variety of research projects in health economics and outcomes research. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in statistics and a keen interest in applying quantitative methods to real-world health data. You will help determine appropriate statistical methodologies to meet specific study objectives
This position is suited to individuals early in their careers who are looking to apply their technical skills in a collaborative, fast-paced consulting environment.
Responsibilities will include:
Data retrieval and management of databases for cohort-based studies, including writing computer programs to generate analytical data sets.
Conduct descriptive and inferential statistical analyses to support research objectives.
Collaborating with project leads to ensure statistical approaches align with study goals.
Contribute to writing scientific manuscripts, reports, and proposals, including preparing tables, figures, and methods sections.
Provide statistical support to colleagues, including guidance on data interpretation, coding, and visualization.
Required skills:
Strong analytical and quantitative problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain statistical concepts to non-technical audiences.
Experience conducting meta-analyses and network meta-analyses is desirable.
High attention to detail and strong organizational skills
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint is required; familiarity with a statistical or data visualization package would be an advantage.
Education & Experience:
Master's degree in Statistics, Biostatistics, Public Health or Epidemiology with a statistical focus
Extensive knowledge of statistical software packages: R required, SAS not required, but will be considered an asset
Experience in analysis and interpretation of medical/health-related data
SQL coding is not required, but will be considered an asset
