Role Overview

We are seeking a motivated

Accounting Assistant

to join our group of companies. This entry-level role offers significant opportunity for growth and development. The successful candidate will support day-to-day accounting operations, assist with payroll, vendor relations, and compliance reporting, while contributing to budgeting and financial analysis across multiple business units.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare and process payroll entries and allocate to expense accounts Manage vendor relations and maintain accurate records of transactions Handle accounts payable and receivable functions Prepare and submit government compliance reports Export and analyze financial reports for management review Assist in the creation of budgets and forecasting activities Prepare documents and maintain organized filing systems Record accounting entries for multi-level operations across the group of companies Collaborate with HR on entry-level tasks (experience an asset but not required)

Qualifications

1-3 years of accounting or bookkeeping experience Post-secondary education in accounting, finance, or related field preferred Strong proficiency in MS Excel, and SAGE accounting software, (SAGE Intacct experience an asset but not required) Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills Ability to work independently and across multiple teams Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Working Conditions

Compensation

Salary Range:

$38,000 - $42,000 (1 - 3 Years of Experience)
