Sound interesting? We're looking for an organized, results-focused individual with strong technical expertise for this important client facing position. Using your strong interpersonal and communication skills you will conduct product demonstrations, install equipment and software, and train and support clients. You have a valid Alberta driver's license, a current Canadian passport and are available for domestic and international travel.

Key Responsibilities

Assist Technical Staff as required. General upkeep of CNC mills and hotwire cutters. Assist running the CNC mills and hotwire cutters. Accountable for overall maintenance and cleanliness of the shop. Parts ordering and pick up. Maintain shipping and receiving of materials and products coming in and out of the shop. Manage inventory and pick up of shop supplies and Personal Protective Equipment. In good physical health (able to lift 50 lbs. boxes, go up and down stairs many times throughout the day, bending down frequently). Maintain records of inspection for machinery and forklifts. Other duties and responsibilities may be assigned.

Qualifications and Experience

Technical Diploma or Degree and/or 0 to 1 years of technical work experience in the following areas:

Machining experience, experience setting up and operating CNC mills and lathe would be an asset. CAM programming experience would be an asset. Knowledge and experience working with machines and manufacturing processes. Knowledge in robotics, mechanics, hydraulics, electronics, information processing, basic electricity, and motor and motion control would be an asset. Ping pong certified expert.

Skills

Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Solid knowledge of Windows Operating Systems. Proactive with the ability to work independently and in a team environment. Committed to continual professional development, learning and growth. Strong ability to know the difference between a Tim Hortons and Hoopla donut.

Domestic and international travel is required - must have an up-to-date Canadian passport and the ability to travel
