We are seeking qualified individuals for the role of Entry Level Operator - Warehouse (Temp 6 Month Contract). Please note that this is not a fly-in, fly-out operation and will be based in Labrador West, NL requiring candidates to work a 7-days on/7-days off (12-hour rotation - days/nights).
Job Responsibilities:
Assist in stock control: the self-assured receipt, storage, retrieval, and timely delivery of goods; shipment loading & transferring; document recording and data entry into Ellipse
Ensure understanding of cost implications on all transactions: Issues, credits, and adjustments
Ensure workplace's health and safety requirements are met and take responsibility for the security of the warehouse and stock
Organize and maintain housekeeping of the warehouse and surrounding area
Implement cost reduction principles in all aspects of warehouse transactions and activities
Creation of daily work logs and transmission of same to Warehouse Coordinator
Operate a loader, forklift, pallet jack, or other equipment as required
Make team safety and efficiency priorities
Conduct periodic cycle counts and work to repatriate shadow inventory to warehouse control
Follows all environmental and safety policies as well as policies outlined in the employee handbook.
Perform all other duties assigned by supervision while demonstrating an authentic team player attitude.
Routinely makes informed judgment calls and performs work in the best interest of the business.
Skills and Qualifications:
At least 2 years of experience in a warehouse and/or manufacturing environment
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
Comfortable with a fast-paced environment.
Excellent work ethic, and attendance record.
Microsoft applications knowledge.
Strong computer skills
Laydown yard knowledge
Education & Experience:
