North South Travel is one of Western Canada's largest independent travel agencies. We have been serving the Westside of Vancouver, Kitsilano and beyond since 1981. We specialize in corporate travel, luxury and custom vacations, cruises and adventure travel. Our office is open Monday-Friday 9am-5pm, closed on Statutory Holidays.

Job Responsibilities:



North South Travel is looking to fill the position of Entry Level Luxury Travel Concierge at our Vancouver office. The Luxury Travel Concierge provides administrative and sales support to a well-established team of Corporate and Leisure Advisors. Together they fulfill both Domestic & International requests across the complete spectrum of travel with a focus on luxury. The Concierge will consistently provide the highest level of customer service and professionalism, ensuring continued delivery of exceptional travel and value added services. They will provide invoicing support, research, and complete data entry while having the opportunity to gain extensive knowledge of the luxury travel industry. As the Concierge grows in knowledge, they will be able to arrange air, car, hotel, cruise, and tour reservations and offer general problem-resolution support to clients wherever needed.

Job Functions may include:



Establish rapport with Luxury Travel Advisors and partner to create productive lines of communication

Build, maintain, update and quality check all client profiles in CRM system

Manage multiple requests in different stages of completion

Assist Luxury Travel Advisors with ticketing, airplane seat assignments, travel emergencies, eVisas and other requests

Complete deposits, final payments and invoicing

Maintain booking and commission tracking sheet and set reminders for important deadlines

Research rates, availability, and destination options for hotels, cruises, air, rentals etc.

Book and confirm reservations including dining, spa and other activities as needed

Quote and book insurance and provide appropriate literature as needed

Act as a point of contact for clients during the Travel Advisor's absence or when dealing with routine questions and procedures

Assist in coordination and scheduling of Leisure training

Lead distribution and follow up

Creation of quick tips and reference sheets for Leisure agents

Verify commission levels and Virtuoso preferred partner contacts

Assist Travel Advisor in their marketing efforts

Monitor schedule changes and follow guidelines set for appropriate handling

Monitor queues as assigned

General office administration and support duties as assigned by Manager

Composing and reviewing itineraries using itinerary management tool

Compiling travel documents for client trip folders

Facilitating concierge requests such as restaurant and spa booking, VIP client requests

Updating CRM

Brochure room management and online ordering

Marketing support- website, newsletter and social media

Adhoc admin duties such as gift basket preparation and client mail out prep

Reception relief

Prior customer service experience preferred. Diploma or college education required. Courteous professionalism is a must.

The ideal candidate is a smart, super-organized, intuitive communicator who thrives in a fast-paced, forward-thinking environment. Candidate will provide day-to-day support for travel advisors. There is potential in this position to become a travel advisor in the future if you so desire.

Passion for and experience with Travel/Dining/Hospitality and Events

Strong geographical knowledge

Networking, relationship building, and marketing skills a plus
