In addition to their core event management responsibilities, this role includes supervisory duties, overseeing team members, delegating tasks, and ensuring adherence to operational standards. This role requires advanced project management and leadership skills to oversee the event lifecycle from initial planning to post-show wrap-up, balancing high-volume workload demands by managing the advance of up to 15+ concerts/contracts simultaneously at varying stages of preparation. The job involves:
Independently managing the comprehensive event advance process, collaborating with internal teams and external stakeholders. Responsible for the coordination of all non-technical Tour requirements
Developing and maintaining detailed event documentation, including schedules, operational plans, and event reports, ensuring all departments remain on track
Proactively identifying and mitigating risks to ensure seamless event execution, demonstrating high-stakes decision making and adaptability
Providing post-event analysis, identifying opportunities for operational improvements and implementing strategic workflow enhancements. Preparing profit & loss reports and critical analysis of each performance
Executing high-profile artist engagements, including meet-and-greet events, VIP experiences and media interactions
Providing immediate, high level decision making during live events to mitigate issues, enforce contractual obligations and deliver a seamless performance
Maintaining strong relationships with touring personnel, promoters, and vendors to enhance collaboration and optimize future negotiation outcomes
Providing leadership, guidance, and support to entertainment programs team members
Mentoring & training staff. Providing coaching, contributing to performance evaluations and recommending growth opportunities
Maintaining meticulous records of production, logistics, and financial reconciliation, overseeing budgetary compliance ensuring complete transparency and accountability
Acting as a brand ambassador, promoting Niagara Casinos within the entertainment industry to enhance venue reputation and attract top-tier talent
Effectively communicate via approved channels with all stakeholders current statuses, plans of action and expected outcomes associated with a particular act
Physical demands associated with this position include long periods of standing, extensive walking, ability to lift up to 50lbs
Must thrive with an unconventional work schedule; fluctuating shift lengths including evenings and weekends, ability to support a 24/7 work environment
Must be able to work extended periods in high-energy environments, crowded environments, including prolonged standing, exposure to loud music, restricted lighting, and confined spaces
Working safely, and in compliance with OH&S policies and legislation
The ideal candidate has:
Degree, Event Management, Business Administration or a related field, or equivalent work-related experience
Minimum 3 years progressive experience in live entertainment, event operations or venue management. Minimum 1 year in a supervisory position
Experience in managing high-profile entertainment productions, coordinating large teams, and executing complex logistics
Exceptional strategic thinking and problem-solving skills, capable of making high-impact decisions under pressure with the ability to adapt quickly to real-time challenges in a fast-paced entertainment environment
Advanced financial acumen to manage event budgets, and analyze cost efficiencies
Superior project management & negotiation skills
The ability to travel for company business when necessary
Advanced computer skills (Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher, Word, Outlook, Adobe)
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
Ability to deal with sensitive and confidential information
