We are seeking an experienced

Enterprise Data Specialist

to design, model, and architect data solutions for our enterprise data warehouse. This strategic role focuses on building robust data models and seamless integration across insurance and reinsurance systems to drive operational excellence and support our industry-leading data warehouse development.

Responsibilities

Data Architecture & Design: Collaborate with business stakeholders and IT teams to define, document, and architect comprehensive enterprise data warehouse solutions Data Integration: Source and integrate data from multiple Insurance and Reinsurance Policy, Treaty, Claims, and financial systems Mapping & Modeling: Design and implement Source to Target mappings optimized for high-volume data integration; create logical and physical data models on SQL Server platforms Development Collaboration: Partner with development teams to ensure accurate translation of mappings into code and validate post-deployment changes Data Strategy: Develop data collection and ingestion strategies; write SQL-based solutions to validate data accuracy and integrity Reporting Support: Analyze and design enterprise data models for optimal reporting; support reporting teams in understanding and utilizing the data warehouse effectively Performance Optimization: Troubleshoot and optimize SQL and Informatica mappings, stored procedures, and develop SQL Server views for reporting and dashboards

Requirements

10+ years of data architecture and design experience with enterprise data warehouse development 3+ years of experience within the Insurance and Reinsurance domain Advanced experience extracting data from Insurance applications Extensive knowledge of Data Warehousing, ETL, and BI Architectures, concepts, and frameworks Proficiency in creating and tuning Semantic layer Reporting Views Experience with RDBMS platforms (SQL Server, DB2, etc.) and DDL generation Knowledge of Guidewire Policy Center, Guidewire Claims Center, SAP FS-CD & SAP FI-GL applications

Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills Proven ability to work effectively in team environments Excellent organizational and analytical skills Experience facilitating data discovery sessions with business subject matter experts

This posting includes a good base salary range EPAM Canada would reasonably expect to pay the selected candidate. Individual compensation offers within the range are based on a variety of factors, including, but not limited to, experience, credentials, education, training, the demand for the role, skillset, and overall business and local labour market considerations. Most candidates are hired at a salary within the range disclosed. Salary range: CA$70-CA$100 per hour.
