The incumbent will interact with staff, managers, senior management and individuals external to government. This role requires a high degree of confidentiality, analysis, professionalism and problem solving due to the nature of business needs, technical and nontechnical of information assessed.Duties will include but are not limited to:

  • Lead multidisciplinary and multiorganizational planning projects;
  • Works with EA peers (e.g., enterprise, business, information, solutions and security architects) to analyze enterprise business context (business strategy and trends), as well as change requirements in other EA viewpoints (such as business, information and solution) to derive the future-state technology architecture. This includes defining the requirements, principles and models that guide technology decisions for the enterprise;
  • Monitor new promising AI technologies and analyses their applicability to Government;
  • Creation of technical standards that will govern the enterprise and guide how applications and devices can function within the Government network;
  • Leads technology change to deliver business outcomes while also virtually leveraging subject matter experts from any other needed technical area;
  • Research and perform analysis on complex enterprise issues, develop alternative solutions and recommend enterprise strategy to resolve issues;
  • Works closely with the product managers, product owners and EA peers (e.g., enterprise, business, information, security and solutions architects) to enable infrastructure agility, scalability and resilience to support required product needs throughout product life cycles;
  • Defines high-level migration plans to address the gaps between the future and current state, typically in sync with the IT budgeting or other capital planning processes;
  • Work with project team to understand project scope;
  • Provide advice on project estimates;
  • Leads the analysis of the current technology environment to detect critical deficiencies, legacy and technical debt, and recommends solutions for improvement. In addition, leads the analysis of technology industry and market trends to determine their potential impact on the enterprise as well as on the enterprise technology architecture;
  • Review projects at three stages (inception, design, implementation) to ensure Enterprise Architecture compliance;
  • Report discrepancies to Enterprise Architecture services and project management;
  • Sets and documents the technical IT architecture of Government;
  • Conducts periodic reviews of established platforms, applications, databases, and projects for changes and update architecture accordingly;
  • Provides advice in the development of ITSSxe2x80x99s Strategic Plan;
  • Other related duties.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • University degree in computer science or a related degree;
  • Experience in the design and implementation of AI solutions involving both platform and network infrastructure
  • Experience in the Software Development Life Cycles and software development methodologies;
  • Familiarity or direct experience in technologies, such as Desktop Architecture, server Architecture, Multi-Tier Infrastructure. clustering, load balance, high availability, disaster recovery, virtualization, capacity planning and sizing, Network Architecture: TCP/lP and related network standards, VPN, PKI, SSL, Firewall, Storage technology;
  • Familiarity or experience in the setup and development of databases;
  • Excellent analytical, complex issues management. problem solving and decision-making skills: verbal and written communications skills: interpersonal, consultation, facilitation, consensus building and negotiation skills;
  • Experience managing the expectations of a wide range of project stakeholders and target solution users, both from the business and from the IT perspective;
  • Expertise in translating conceptual and logical architecture into physical and cloud technology architecture and design;
  • Working knowledge of Information management, data and process modelling methodologies, tools and techniques, metadata structures, repository functions, data dictionaries. and data warehouses;
  • Awareness of emerging AI IT technologies and trends;
