We are a privately owned and operated tutoring center. We provide one-on-one and small-group tutoring services for students from grade 1 to 12, in math, science, English language-arts and social studies. We stand out from the other tutoring centers in that we offer in-home tutor sessions, our sessions are very interactive and every tutoring session is customized to each one of their students. We have a vast amount of resources to help students succeed.

Job description

We are looking to hire a Calgary-based tutor for English language-arts and possibly also social studies, for grade 1 - 12. Applicants be located in Calgary (no exceptions) and must have their own vehicle.

This will be a hybrid position, where there will be online tutoring sessions and in-person sessions at the student's home or at a library. Applicants must be willing to travel.

Applicants must have a good understanding of Alberta's curriculum for junior and senior high English and social studies, including preparing for grade 9 PAT and grade 12 diploma. The successful applicant will have the flexibility to create her/his own lesson plan. Preferences will be given to those with a related undergraduate or postgraduate degree and preferably with teaching experience. Candidates must be in excellent academic standing and are accountable, punctual, reliable and have excellent communication skills.
