Job Description
The position is a regular part time job and open immediately. Reading Gate is a well systemized English franchise learning center. Reading Gate in Coquitlam is now seeking a highly motivated English instructor who wants a stable and reliable long-term teaching position. Targeted students are K-12, both ESL and regular English level students. Most class materials are provided, so teachers are mostly free from preparing for classes. If you are enthusiastic and motivated, and looking for a long term, you are the right person for this position.
REQUIREMENTS ARE AS FOLLOWS:
- Minimum Bachelor degree (OR university students in 4th year are acceptable.) in English, History, Political Science, or any English relevant fields;
- Teaching experience with beginner and advanced level students is an asset;
- Excellent ESSAY writing skills- MUST;
- Possibly able to lead some group classes (optional): Shakespeare/History/Novel Studies;
- Excellent conversation skills with school aged students;
- Familiar to BC curriculum (particularly, English and Social Study);
- Pleased to teach English to students at low and intermediate level;
- Patient, DILIGENT, and good listener
- Speaking Korean is an asset ; and
- Able to work on weekday afternoons (approx. work window of 3:30-9:00pm during school days, 2-3 days per week is also acceptable).
