Scholars of Pickering is seeking a passionate and dedicated part-time Teacher/Tutor to join our team. We take pride in delivering results that matter to all our students, and our teachers play a vital role in this journey. Here's what we're looking for:

Ontario Certified Teacher preferred. MUST HAVE TEACHING EXPERIENCE

Must be able to teach phonics, reading and writing skills at the elementary and high school levels.

Candidates currently enrolled in Teachers College. Excellent English oral and written communication skills. A genuine passion for helping students reach their full potential. Exceptional organizational skills and high attention to detail. Ability to teach small groups of up to 3 students. Must be living in Canada

Availability:

Candidates must be able to work a minimum of four shifts per week during our hours of operation:

Monday - Thursday, 3:00 - 8:00 pm

Saturday, 9:00 am - 2:00 pm

Responsibilities

Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that cater to diverse learning styles. Foster a positive classroom environment that encourages student participation and collaboration. Assess and evaluate student progress, providing feedback to support their growth. Organize classroom materials and resources to enhance learning experiences. Collaborate with colleagues to support special education initiatives and accommodate students with disabilities.
Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $18.00-$20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 10 - 20 per week
