Best Brains Learning Center - Brampton(Steeles Avenue and Mississauga Rd), ON
Best Brains is looking for a dedicated and experienced Ontario Certified Teacher (OCT) to lead our English programs for students for all grades. The ideal candidate will have mandatory experience working in an Ontario school, with a strong background in delivering the Ontario curriculum and a proven ability to manage diverse learning needs.
Key Responsibilities:
Curriculum Delivery
Deliver high-quality instruction in English literacy, reading, and writing, aligned with the Ontario Curriculum for the Primary and Junior divisions.
Student Assessment & Academic Support
Conduct ongoing formative and summative assessments to identify student strengths, challenges, and growth areas.
Develop and implement targeted strategies to support individual learning needs.
Program Development
Design and lead engaging enrichment programs in public speaking and creative writing, promoting confidence, critical thinking, and communication skills.
Differentiated Instruction
Tailor teaching methods to accommodate diverse learning styles and levels, ensuring all students are supported and appropriately challenged.
Classroom Management
Create a positive, inclusive, and structured learning environment that fosters respect, curiosity, and academic success.
Parent & Guardian Communication
Maintain open, consistent communication with families to report on student progress, celebrate achievements, and discuss strategies for continued development.
Qualifications & Experience
Ontario College of Teachers (OCT) certification in good standing (required).
Minimum 2 years of teaching experience in an Ontario publicly funded or Ministry-inspected private school.
Strong understanding of Ontario's academic expectations for grades JK-8.
Demonstrated ability to engage and motivate students in a nurturing and dynamic environment.
Experience designing and implementing effective and creative educational programs.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; proactive, collaborative, and student-focused mindset.
