Develop and implement engaging and comprehensive lesson plans that align with Alberta Education curriculum standards for English Language Arts and Humanities.
Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes active learning, critical thinking, and collaboration.
Provide differentiated instruction to meet the diverse learning needs, abilities, and interests of individual students and groups.
Incorporate a variety of teaching methodologies, resources, and assessment strategies to enhance student understanding and achievement.
Integrate multicultural and interdisciplinary perspectives into curriculum delivery to help students connect their learning to real-world contexts.
Utilize technology effectively to enhance instruction and student engagement in the classroom.
Maintain accurate records of student progress, attendance, and assessment results, and communicate regularly with parents/guardians regarding student performance and achievement.
Participate actively in professional development opportunities and collaborative team meetings to continuously improve teaching practice and contribute to the school\'s academic goals.
Uphold the school\'s values and beliefs, including covering one\'s head with a bandana while on school property, adhering to vegetarian dietary guidelines, and promoting a culture of mindfulness and community connection.
Qualifications:
Valid Alberta Teaching Certificate is required.
Bachelor of Education Degree or equivalent recognized by Alberta Education.
Teaching experience of at least 1 year (preferred).
Understanding of diverse teaching methodologies and multiple intelligences.
Strong communication, interpersonal, and classroom management skills.
Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team in a supportive learning environment.
