About this opportunity
Our English Proofreader/Content Coordinator role is integral for ensuring that all content is accurate in client print, digital and mobile flyers, as well as catalogues, grand openings and specialty publications. This role works closely with internal teams, as well as the client pricing department.

This position is responsible for the content coordination, copywriting and proofreading of a variety of client publications, which involves analyzing databases, populating databanks and applying flyer guidelines in order to set up flyer slots and determine pricing.

What you will do

• Provide proofreading services and flyer content analysis;
• Review flyer, newspaper and catalogue copy for effectiveness, accuracy, clarity and consistency, including spelling, punctuation, format, style and pricing;
• Ensure copy adheres to established guidelines, brand style guides and creative strategy;
• Analyze and interpret data to determine impact of change;
• Transfer client requests to proofs and databases;
• Determine organization of page content in accordance with client flyer guidelines;
• Coordinate with internal departments to maximize overall efficiency of workflow;
• Support and contribute to a healthy and safe work environment by following all workplace regulations, policies, and initiatives, including reporting all first aid injuries, accidents, and workplace hazards.

What you have to offer

• Post-secondary diploma or degree (or work experience equivalent) in English, journalism, publishing or related field;
• Minimum three years\' experience as a copy editor/proofreader is preferred;
• Excellent attention to detail;
• Solid understanding and experience with MS Office Suite, Adobe InDesign;
• Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills;
• Strong problem solving skills, ability to perform under pressure;
• Skilled at multi-tasking and performing under tight timelines;
• Ability to work both independently and in conjunction with various internal teams and clients;
• Working knowledge of French is an asset.
