Job Description

TalentWorld is currently seeking a Testing Engineer for our client, whom is a global leader in electrical product safety certifications in Newmarket. Working with this client offers lots of learning and growth potential, in a welcoming family like environment.

In this position, you would be leading testing on electric vehicle and energy storage at the module and pack level. Reporting into the Site Operations Manager, your role would be responsible for conducting specific testing and reporting to the requirements of f ISO/IEC 17025 accreditation.

Testing Engineer Responsibilities
Relevant testing on electronic vehicle and energy storage systems
Maintain and populate proper documentation using various media - example: Reports, photography and video
Utilize a variety of instrumentation and equipment
Perform product certification assessments and calibrations
Maintain confidentiality of customers, products tested, and appropriate internal information

Testing Technician Qualifications
Bachelor\'s degree in n Electrical, Mechanical, or Materials Engineering, or equivalent experience
5 years experience in testing of electric vehicle and/or energy storage systems
Knowledge of lithium battery technology and safety protocols is mandatory
Experience in test method development and execution, instrumentation and data acquisition, and safety systems.
Testing Experience, using and maintaining testing equipment
Familiarity with connected area network bus, internet protocol, and RS232.
