We\'re also looking at what\'s next for you and how we can help you build a career you\'re proud of. We are seeking Engineering Students, for the Saskatoon District, within our Canadian Buildings Division that are available for 4, 8 or 16 months starting in September 2023.

Here\'s how a(n) Engineering/Technical Student for our Saskatoon office contributes to our team:

Project Coordination:

• Coordinating drawings
• Coordinating work specific scope / trades
• Conducting trade quote reviews \xe2\x80\x93 verify material quantities, verify hours, verify rates
• Participating in project meetings
• Conducting deficiency walks
• Inputting / Updating deficiency logs
• Issuing warranties
• Taking / Coordinating progress photos
• Updating field drawings
• Producing as-built drawings

Field Coordination:

• Performing quantity takeoffs
• Coordinating sub-trade work
• Verifying site conditions and coordinating with drawings
• Supervising sub-trade work
• Setting-up / Maintaining record keeping
• Layout site lines and grades using total station

Scheduling:

• Updating project schedules
• Creating manual schedules
• Creating and updating schedules using Suretrak software
• Obtaining scheduling information from sub-trades
• Creating and maintaining graphical scheduling using AutoCAD.
• Monitoring Manpower productivity

What you will bring to the role:

• A strong desire to work in a construction environment. Prior field construction experience will be considered an asset.
• Application of various computer software programs will be required, including word processing, spreadsheet applications and drafting.
