POSITION SUMMARY



This position is responsible for all aspects of the design of overhead and underground distribution under the direction of Manager, Engineering and Grid Transformation. We are looking for one talented individual to join our growing team and make an impact.


KEY DUTIES




Work within Company values and policies at all times Prepare overhead and underground electrical distribution system design up to 27.6 KV Prepare service layouts, estimates, offers to connect and work orders Prepare overhead and underground service & metering connection orders Inspect civil infrastructure built by contractors to Milton Hydro's specifications Review accuracy of work order information, postings, billings, and advise Manager of any issues Review and track 3rd party attachment requests to Milton Hydro poles Prepare construction drawings using AutoCAD, engineering estimates and requisition material as they relate to engineering design, prepare project forecasts and variance reports Liaise with the Town of Milton, the Region of Halton, other Utilities, Customers, Developers and Contractors related to the design and construction of projects Identify opportunities to improve the business processes, distribution services, and advise Manager of risks with business processes Other duties required.

SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED




Experience in the design of overhead and underground distribution system, up to and including 27.6 kV, preferable in a utility environment Valid Ontario Driver's License Class G with good driving record Knowledge of the Ontario Occupational Health and Safety Act, IHSA EUSR rulebook, Ontario Regulation 22/04 and applicable regulations Strong communicator, excellent interpersonal and customer relations skills

EDUCATION




Completion of a technology diploma from a recognized community college in electrical or related discipline Registered with the Ontario Association of Certified Engineering Technicians and Technologists (OACETT) in the electrical discipline, or eligible
