The City of Edmonton's Safe Mobility Section is seeking a dedicated and skilled Engineering Technologist II to join their team. The Engineering Technologist II is a technical position that supports the Engineering team within the Safe Mobility Section. This role is integral to the City's Vision Zero efforts, which seek to eliminate traffic-related fatalities and serious injuries by 2032. You will use various software and graphic applications to draft concept plans, prepare graphics for public notices and reports, and conduct fieldwork and data collection. A key part of the role involves responding to inquiries from the public, City staff, and City Council. You will also act as a technical resource for the Section, utilizing programs like MicroStation, AutoCAD, Civil3D, and SAP. The position requires balancing the needs of the public with corporate processes, systems, and resources, while working under deadlines. This role ensures that traffic safety concerns are addressed efficiently and aligns with the principles of the Safe Mobility Strategy.
