We are seeking Engineering Students, for our Toronto District, within our Canadian Buildings Division that are available for 4 month or 8 months starting May 5th, 2025.
As an Engineering Student and depending on your assigned project, you will have the opportunity to contribute to our team by:
Responsibilities
Project Coordination
xc2xb7 Coordinating drawings
xc2xb7 Coordinating work specific scope / trades
xc2xb7 Conducting trade quote reviews verify material quantities, verify hours, verify rates
xc2xb7 Participating in project meetings
xc2xb7 Conducting deficiency walks
xc2xb7 Inputting / Updating deficiency logs
xc2xb7 Issuing warranties
xc2xb7 Taking / Coordinating progress photos
xc2xb7 Updating field drawings
xc2xb7 Producing as-built drawings
Field Coordination
xc2xb7 Performing quantity takeoffs
xc2xb7 Coordinating sub-trade work
xc2xb7 Verifying site conditions and coordinating with drawings
xc2xb7 Supervising sub-trade work
xc2xb7 Setting-up / Maintaining record keeping
xc2xb7 Layout site lines and grades using total station
Scheduling:
xc2xb7 Updating project schedules
xc2xb7 Creating manual schedules
xc2xb7 Creating and updating schedules using Primavera P6 EPPM software
xc2xb7 Obtaining scheduling information from sub-trades
xc2xb7 Creating and maintaining graphical scheduling using AutoCAD.
xc2xb7 Monitoring workforce productivity
Qualifications
xc2xb7 Candidates must have a strong desire to work in a construction environment and prior field construction experience will be considered an asset.
xc2xb7 Application of various computer software programs will be required, including word processing, spreadsheet applications and drafting.
