This role will provide the successful candidate with an opportunity to learn and understand what is required to properly plan & safely implement subsea operations in the White Rose Field, while supporting the ongoing scopes of Cenovus\xe2\x80\x99s Subsea IMR & Field Support team. The student expected to gain the following skills upon completion of their work term:

Understand what is required to safely implement subsea operations activities

Developed a strong understanding of Subsea Assets & Infrastructure

Developed a broad understanding of the roles and responsibilities that make up the Subsea IMR & Field Support Team

Understand the systems, standards and processes required to successfully deliver on business objectives

Responsibilities

This role is an entry-level position for a Senior or Junior Engineering student, so they can gain valued experience of working in the White Rose oil field, with an emphasis in Subsea IMR (Inspection, Maintenance & Repair) and Field Support.

The successful candidate will report directly to the Manager, Subsea IMR & Field Support while also supporting other Subsea-related scopes.

Primary responsibilities for the successful candidate will be supporting Subsea IMR operations and associated functions via effective planning, engineering, recordkeeping and project management skills.

The selected candidate will, at times, be required to work with both internal (Subsea Engineering, Subsea Projects, etc.) and external (IMR Support Services contractor, ROV services contractor, misc. vendors) partners to coordinate and complete relevant work scopes.

Any problem-solving will follow defined practices and processes along with support from the Subsea IMR and Field Support Team.

Qualifications

Legally entitled to work in Canada full-time for the duration of your work term and able to produce documentation upon application (e.g., work visa)

Available to begin work in May, 2024

Competencies/ Skills

Familiar with Microsoft based applications such as Word, Excel, Teams, Outlook, Visio, etc.

Experience with Technical Writing

Adaptability to work in a team environment

Ability to be willing to take on responsibility and address items in a timely manner

Ability to manage multiple tasks with competing priorities and deadlines

Strong organizational skills

Value a diverse working environment

Experience in project management would be an asset

Education

Must be enrolled in a Mechanical, Ocean Naval or Process Engineering Program at an accredited post-secondary institution at the time of the intended work term and returning to full-time studies after the work term OR registered in an accredited post-secondary co-op or internship program for the duration of the work term

Candidates currently enrolled in either a Masters or Ph.D. program at an accredited post-secondary institution may also be considered

Working Conditions

May include frequency of travel, sitting, standing, computer work, and working at site, etc.
