Fort McMurray, Alberta - Horizon Oil Sands site

Shift schedule:

4 days on, 3 days off, 10 hours/day (Monday - Thursday)

Key Accountabilities:

Assist the Upgrading and Utilities Engineering Team in activities relating to operations, maintenance or construction support Understand process plant operation and equipment Collaborate with the Project and Operations teams to ensure proper alignment with operations needs and requirements Review assets and data to see where we can improve the frequency of maintenance and be able to improve our uptime on equipment Assist engineers in producing maintenance work packages Gather field measurements & data to assist engineers Assist in checking designs executed by engineering contractors Assist in evaluation of equipment purchase specifications Coordinate with various disciplines and departments within Operations or Major Projects to resolve engineering issues Assist with creating and maintaining project deliverables such as Lessons Learned Logs, Request For Information forms, Technical Deviation Requests

What You Bring to The Role:

Currently enrolled in a bachelor's degree program in Chemical or Process Engineering or within one year of graduation Previous engineering experience is considered an asset Previous field experience an asset Possess a valid Class 5 Alberta driver's license or equivalent out of province license with a reasonably clean driver abstract and comfortable driving work trucks in a safe manner
