Engineering Specialist

Overview:

Engineering is strategic to Inland\xe2\x80\x99s overall success and the Engineering Specialist will oversee project design and drafting, testing and implementation of Inland projects. Projects could include new construction as well as rehabilitation of small to large capital investments. The individual will have ownership of the technical aspects of Inland\xe2\x80\x99s equipment and systems development and be responsible to deliver on the current and future needs to support growth. The Engineering Specialist will be responsible for defining and sizing equipment and instrumentation and developing or refining process maps and P&ID\xe2\x80\x99s as well as performing moderately complex design calculations. The successful candidates should be comfortable with analyzing mechanical systems including heat exchangers, pump selection, valves, pipe sizing, etc. At Inland, you are more than just an employee; you are a respected and valued member of our team. Please Note: Approximately 15% to 20% of time will be spent traveling including overnight travel; occasionally, during times of peak project activity, travel may be up to 30% over a one to two month period.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor degree in Engineering with 7 \xe2\x80\x93 10 years related work experience;
• 5+ years of technical experience relating to the design of mechanical, chemical and electrical industrial equipment particularly as it relates to the chemical processing field;
• Ability to understand complex regulations and be able to communicate requirements to groups with diverse interests and backgrounds;
• Ability to identify and analyse technical problems and develop and implement solutions;
• Excellent communication and leadership skills;
• Willingness to engage in hands-on development, testing, and root cause investigations.
