Fitch Technology is currently seeking an QA Engineer, Associate Director based out of our New York office.

About the Team:
We are in search of an Engineer to elevate the quality assurance processes for our Fitch Ratings Workflow applications. This role entails close collaboration with the systems supporting the Fitch Ratings operations and analytical communities. The position offers a unique opportunity to gain a profound understanding of the business domain and to ensure the highest standards of system and data quality for Fitch Ratings.
How You'll Make an Impact:

• Contribute to and develop sophisticated automation frameworks that are efficient, flexible, and reusable
• Integrate test case execution and reporting within the CI/CD pipeline to align with the DevOps strategy, criteria, requirements, and user stories
• Work with cross-functional teams including business analysts, developers, and users to build and refine test strategies for your team as well as to ensure integrity of dependent systems
• Advocate for system testability
• Work in the SDET capacity to automate early in conjunction with other engineer's efforts to build systems.

You May be a Good Fit if:

• 6+ years of ETL Processes/ Data Warehouse experience.
• Strong hands-on experience in ORACLE database technologies. Experience in writing complex ORACLE SQL and PL/SQL scripts for querying data.
• Experience with ETL Processes (Data Warehouse) and BI tools (QlikSaas, Cognos etc.,). Proficient enough to Analyze Source Systems, Staging area, Fact and Dimension tables in Target D/W
• Hands-on experience with No-SQL DB, preferably MongoDB.
• Hands-on building reusable test components to validate AI-generated outputs against business logic, factual accuracy, and explainability standards is a plus.
• Experience in leveraging code assistants like Amazon Q or Microsoft Copilot to accelerate test case creation, code suggestions and documentation to improve efficiency and accuracy
• Experience creating reusable code/scripts for Automated Framework using Python (Pandas, Numpy, Requests, Boto3)
• Experience creating automation frameworks using Selenium (Python) and tools to support test automation for web applications
• Experience working with Postman, SOAPUI, GraphQL or similar API testing tools
• Strong hands-on experience in APIs, webservices and Microservices.
• Experience with processes and deliverables in an Agile/SCRUM environment

What Would Make You Stand Out:

• Experience working with Kafka data streams, Big data, Postgres DB and Data lake is a plus
• Experience working with Amazon AWS services like Athena, S3, Glue, Lambda, Starburst etc., is a plus
• Proficient in defect tracking/Quality assurance tools such as ALM and JIRA. qTest is a plus.
• Basic understanding of Continuous Integration Continuous Delivery/Deployment concepts and CI tools like Jenkins/Bamboo/Github, etc.
• Financial domain experience is a plus
• Exposure to BDD concepts, including enhanced acceptance criteria and testing practices
• Exposure to Code quality metrics, and shift-left principles
• Exposure to the financial industry domain and data platforms (data warehouses, data lakes)
