Main Purpose and Function
The Engineering Project Coordinator works as part of a team with the staff in the Waterworks Design Branch and the Waterworks Operation Branch to coordinate assigned waterworks construction projects, develop work schedules in conjunction with contractors and Waterworks Operations staff, monitor work progress and project costs, perform field reviews and liaise with and provide approved direction to a wide variety of internal and external contactors.
The position reports to the Technical Supervisor - Engineering and works closely with Waterworks Operations, Development and Major Projects Branch, Engineering Project Delivery, Utilities Management Branch, and various branches across Engineering. Also liaises with external organizations such as Metro Vancouver, BC Hydro, and other third party agencies.
