CanCrete functions as a concrete pumping support centre by providing clients in the concrete industry with solutions, parts, service, and advice, tailored to their specific needs.

Position Summary:


The Engineering Production Manager is a leadership role that combines Engineering expertise with production management. This position improves, manages, and provides oversight to all systems at CanCrete that turn inputs into finished products. Responsibilities include technical problem solving, operations planning, and team leadership/department cross collaboration to ensure that projects (including technical design, technical repair, and equipment assembly) runs efficiently, safely, and cost-effectively.

Responsibilities:



Production Support & Process Optimization:

Monitor daily production activities and resolve technical issues Lead weekly production meeting Collaborate with resources for parts receiving and production assignment Responsible for accurate SAP production orders Participate in monthly sales meeting to provide production updates Work closely with sales and service teams to align production schedules with customer delivery timelines Support new product introductions and ensure smooth transition to full-scale production Monitor and meet production timeline, cost and quality KPIs Supervise/mentor technicians, technologists and other engineers and review and approve designs, calculations and cost estimates
Chassis Design & Integration:

Design and optimize chassis structures for concrete pump installation, ensuring compliance with manufacturing safety and performance standards Collaborate with OEMs to integrate components and systems
Assembly Process Implementation/Management:

Design and implement efficient line layouts for new and existing products Analyze workflow and material handling to reduce bottlenecks and improve throughput Manage supplier qualification/strategic sourcing to drive productivity, quality, and cost initiatives Responsible for Production Department budget achievement Collaborate with OEMs on design revisions, refits, field improvements, and associated documentation
Boom Pump Inspections & Maintenance Planning:

Lead structural inspection program and follow up for repairs and maintenance Develop preventive maintenance schedules and manage inspection protocols
Documentation & Compliance:

Maintain detailed records of design changes, inspection reports, and process improvements Ensure compliance with industry standards, safety regulations, certifications, and internal quality systems Ensure compliance with Canadian Welding Bureau (CWB) standards with the support of the Welding Engineer and Welding Supervisor

Requirements and Skills:



Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related discipline; Professional Engineer (P.Eng) designation or eligibility required. Minimum 3+ years in production engineering or manufacturing operations, preferably in heavy equipment, automotive, or industrial machinery. Strong understanding of hydraulic systems, structural mechanics, and chassis design principles, and proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD) Experience with SAP ERP or similar enterprise resource planning systems is considered an asset. Solid grasp of manufacturing processes, assembly line optimization, and design-for-manufacturability principles. Demonstrated ability to lead multidisciplinary teams, mentor staff, and foster cross-functional collaboration. Exceptional analytical and troubleshooting skills with a proven track record of resolving complex technical issues. Ability to convey technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Pay: $150,000.00-$175,000.00 per year
