Itec group has partnered with a leading manufacturer specializing in innovative engineering solutions. We are seeking a talented Engineering Manager to lead their structural engineering design team and drive the development of high-performance manufacturing solutions.
Position Overview:
The Engineering Manager will oversee the structural engineering design team, ensuring the successful execution of projects from concept to production. This role requires strong leadership skills, technical expertise in structural design, and a commitment to fostering a collaborative and innovative team culture.
Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage a team of structural engineers and designers, providing guidance, mentorship, and support to enhance their professional growth.
• Oversee the design and analysis of structural components, ensuring compliance with industry standards, regulations, and best practices.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including manufacturing, quality, and project management, to develop efficient and effective engineering solutions.
• Drive the design process from initial concept through to production, ensuring timelines and budgets are met.
• Review and approve engineering designs, calculations, and documentation to ensure accuracy and quality.
• Implement and promote best practices in structural engineering design and analysis, including the use of modern design software and tools.
• Establish project priorities and allocate resources effectively to maximize productivity and minimize risk.
• Ensure adherence to all safety standards and protocols in design and engineering practices.
• Maintain strong communication with clients and stakeholders, providing updates on project progress and addressing any concerns or issues as they arise.
• Foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation within the engineering team.

Daily responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related field.
Proven experience as an Engineering Manager or senior structural engineer in a manufacturing environment.
In-depth knowledge of structural design principles, materials, and software ( SolidWorks, ERP).
Strong leadership and team management skills, with a track record of mentoring and developing engineering talent.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with an ability to collaborate effectively across departments.
Experience with project management and familiarity with project management methodologies.
Licensed Professional Engineer (P.Eng) designation in Canada is preferred.
Location: Mississauga, ON
Salary Range: $120,000 - $135,000
