Join us at Mapsted and be a part of the future of location technology! : We are seeking a talented and experienced Engineering Manager to join Mapsted. Your role will be crucial in driving the technical vision and execution of our products. Key job responsibilities 1) Provide strong leadership and guidance to a team of iOS and Android engineers, fostering a collaborative and high-performing work environment. Mentor and develop team members to enhance their skills and career growth. 2) Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product management and design, to define the technical roadmap and strategy for our mobile applications. Stay updated on emerging technologies and industry trends specific to iOS and Android platforms to ensure our products remain innovative. 3) Oversee multiple mobile development projects, ensuring their successful planning, execution, and timely delivery. Set realistic goals and monitor progress, identifying and mitigating risks along the way. Adapt plans as needed to ensure project success. 4) Work closely with the mobile engineering team to architect scalable and robust applications for iOS and Android platforms. Provide technical guidance and make critical design decisions. Ensure adherence to best practices and industry standards for mobile development. 5) Foster effective communication and collaboration across teams, including product managers, designers, and other engineering teams. Encourage cross-functional collaboration to drive innovation and achieve business objectives specific to mobile development. 6) Establish and maintain high standards for mobile software development practices. Ensure the engineering team follows best practices, including code reviews, automated testing, and continuous integration for iOS and Android platforms. Drive a culture of quality and deliver high-quality mobile applications. 7) Stay up to date with the latest advancements in iOS and Android technologies, frameworks, and industry trends. Act as a technical expert, providing guidance on complex technical issues specific to mobile development. Conduct research and propose new ideas for mobile product improvement. 8) Identify areas for improvement in mobile engineering processes, tools, and methodologies. Drive initiatives to enhance productivity, efficiency, and overall software development practices for iOS and Android platforms. Qualifications: 1) Bachelor\'s or Master\'s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field. 2) 15+ years of experience in software engineering, with a focus on mobile application development for iOS and Android platforms. 3) 15+ years of experience in a leadership role, managing and leading teams of iOS and Android engineers. 4) Strong knowledge of iOS and Android development frameworks, languages (Swift, Objective-C, Java, Kotlin), and design patterns. 5) Experience with agile development methodologies and project management tools specific to mobile development. 6) Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively across teams. 7) Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities in the context of mobile application development. 8) Familiarity with the App Store and Google Play Store submission and review processes.
