Job Title: Engineering Laboratory Coordinator

Our client, NTI Boilers Inc., is a proud member of the Ariston Group and a successful manufacturer of residential and commercial heating equipment with international distribution. NTI is an industry leader and have been committed to providing smart climate solutions and personal customer support since they were founded in 1967. NTI has partnered with Meridia in search of an Engineering Laboratory Coordinator to join their facility in Saint John, New Brunswick.

Role Description

As the Engineering Laboratory Coordinator, you will define and execute test plans on product/components within the Engineering Laboratory. You will develop Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), write the appropriate documents, and ensure a successful implementation of new processes.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Coordinating the execution of tests in accordance with the internal procedures and processes
• Supporting the development and implementation of new SOPs for the test lab
• Collaborating with the R&D department as part of the development team
• Interacting with notified bodies during the step of homologation
• Checking the compliance of the products with the relevant regulations
• Defining and updating the test methodologies and tools on the base on lessons learned and rule changes
• Making test reports
• Improving and maintaining the lab facilities
• Supporting Quality and Production departments with failure analyses and product introduction

Your Qualifications

Combining an educational background in engineering with experience in a technical field within a manufacturing environment, you have a good knowledge of measurement testing tools and lab software. You are also familiar with SOPs and have worked with them in a similar setting.

Your qualifications include:

• Educational background in engineering
• Experience using measurement testing tools
• Expertise of the relative regulation is considered an asset
• Product knowledge and plumbing & electrical experience are considered assets
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office
• Experience with lab software tools, i.e., LabVIEW
• Preferred experience in Electronics or Electrical troubleshooting.
• Scientific and curious mindset, good attitude, and self-motivated
• Great problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to prioritize & work independently
