Chemical,

Civil/Structural, Electrical or Mechanical Engineering

students to support our

Mining, Infrastructure and Industrial Teams

. Reporting to the

Manager of Engineering

, you will support

various Mining, Infrastructure

and Industrial

related projects from our Toronto corporate office. The positions will be starting in May 2026 for a 12-month term.

Meaningful contribution to some of the more challenging engineering and construction projects in Canada; Working on problems and gaining experience relevant to your field of study in an office or field environment; Collaborating with diverse teams; Leveraging the latest technology trends in the development of novel tools and processes for improving engineering productivity; Benefit from formal and informal mentorship from some of the leading minds and authorities in the industry; Participate in local Lunch and Learn sessions and other forms of formal or informal training to develop your skills; Support the client solutions team with business development tasks such as proposal tracking and development. Duties & Responsibilities (may include and are not limited to):



Work independently and as part of a team to complete project specific engineering deliverables, including: + Engineering lists
+ Procurement packages
+ Modeling and design using the latest industry software and tools
+ Design Deliverables
+ Project Controls deliverables
+ Reporting deliverables
+ Presentations
+ Field reports.
Become knowledgeable with the engineering design process and practical applications, regional codes and standards, various engineering design tools and applications, and the Bantrel quality procedures. Work collaboratively in a multi-discipline environment to deliver the best solution for our clients. Assist senior engineers and designers with their responsibilities including creating and checking engineering deliverables, attending design reviews, and quality reviews.

Good understanding of engineering and business fundamentals as they apply to engineering problems and projects. Collaborative team player with excellent interpersonal skills. Adapts and embraces change. Excellent presentation skills.


Qualifications



Must be enrolled in an engineering program at an accredited university. Preference will be given to

Chemical

,

Civil/Structural, Electrical or Mechanical Engineering programs

You will have completed 3 years of your engineering program by April, 2026 Excel academically while being actively involved in extra-curricular and/or volunteer activities at school or in the community. Interest in engineering design and complex projects. Previous work experience will be considered an asset. Technical experience with design calculations, modeling tools and software, ability to use data-centric design tools, and proficiency with Microsoft Office tools (SharePoint, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) will be preferred.

Base Annual Salary: $25/hr. to $30/hr. (Bantrel provides a competitive compensation package that reflects the skills, qualifications, and experience relevant to the role. The figures shared represent base salary only and do not include other elements of the Total Rewards offering. Final compensation will be determined based on the successful candidate's experience and alignment with the role requirements.)

Please note: This salary range is specific to this opportunity and location. Similar roles in other locations or projects may have different compensation ranges based on market conditions and role requirements.
