The Engineering Interface is responsible for providing effective leadership as the Single Point of Contact (SPOC) between Infrastructure and Engineering and tracking an extensive portfolio of projects throughout the project lifecycle.

What will you be doing !

  • Tracks a portfolio of Design Engineering and S&T projects in various states and throughout the entire lifecycle
  • Consults with Engineering on a regular basis to monitor progress and ensure that Engineering activities are being completed as required
  • Works closely with Directors, Managers and Project Leaders as the Single Point of Contact (SPOC) between Infrastructure and Design Engineering to ensure alignment
  • Attend all required new work walk downs and participate in design reviews
  • Determine well in advance whether we can handle the project or whether it needs to be outsourced
  • Support work close out processes involving Engineering
  • Provides oversight for deliverable reviews and acceptance
  • Ensure Engineering Change Control is properly implemented on a timely basis
  • Actively follows up with various internal CNL departments to address and resolve outstanding issues associated with work/projects
  • Interfaces with procurement, QA, Infrastructure and other technical staff to meet CNL needs in a coherent integrated manner
  • Organizes and chairs meetings to evaluate goals and required outcomes
  • Participates in management team meetings related to project performance, priorities and staffing
  • Reports on project progress for clients, management and other stakeholders
  • Establishes and maintains strong and effective customer relationships
What we are looking for : (To be taken from the Education, Experience, abilities & skills, qualification sections of the JD)

\xc2\xb7 A minimum of 5-10 years of technical, project, or maintenance experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience and post secondary education
  • Experience with Project Management would be considered an asset
\xc2\xb7 Experience leading cross functional teams and chairing meetings

\xc2\xb7 Demonstrated leadership and an established track record for project delivery complying with regulatory and company requirements

\xc2\xb7 Advanced knowledge of Engineering Processes (e.g. ECC, FCR, RREC, etc.)

\xc2\xb7 Demonstrated ability to read and understand specifications and drawings and interpret complex construction drawings.

\xc2\xb7 Knowledgeable in Safety & Licensing, Procurement, QA, Planning and Control, Construction/ Installation, and applicable business systems

\xc2\xb7 High level of proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Experience with software systems such as EAMS, Oracle, and/or other applicable programs.
  • Security clearance eligibility required: Reliability Status with Site Access Security Clearance (SASC), which has a minimum requirement of 3 years of verifiable history in Canada, Australia, New Zealand, the United States and/or the United Kingdom.
