Tasks

Assign engineering projects to engineers or other technical workers Consult with clients to determine project needs Coordinate work activities to ensure projects meet deadlines and budgets Direct and control daily operations Evaluate daily operations Plan and control budget and expenditures Plan and organize daily operations Provide detailed information and guidance to clients on project analysis and design Review engineering projects to approve or recommend changes Establish and implement policies and procedures for engineering work Hire, train, direct and motivate staff Authorize the development of specifications for products or services Evaluate technical designs and engineering work Oversee the analysis of data and information Oversee the preparation of reports Advise senior management Develop risk management plans Leading/instructing groups Conduct performance reviews Develop and maintain cost findings, reporting and internal control procedure
