Engineering Coordinator supports the successful execution of capital projects by managing engineering documentation, ensuring compliance with standards and regulations, maintaining control over technical records within the plant, and facilitating effective communication across departments and external stakeholders.
Duties:
Document Management:
Maintain and organize engineering documentation, including drawings, P&IDs, specifications, procedures, and reports.
Ensure version control and proper archiving of all technical documents.
Manage and customize document management systems such as Autodesk Vault, Microsoft SharePoint, and other engineering software.
Procedures and Specifications:
Develop, update, and standardize engineering procedures and specifications.
Ensure alignment with corporate standards, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices.
Support audits and inspections by providing accurate and timely documentation.
Administer the Management of Change (MOC) process for engineering-related changes.
Track and document all changes to ensure compliance with safety and operational protocols.
Capital Projects:
Participate in the planning, coordination, and execution of capital projects.
Coordinate and support the preparation and submission of permit applications for engineering and construction activities. Track permit status and resolve issues. Maintain records of all permits and related correspondence.
Ensure compliance with local, provincial, and federal regulations.
Coordinate with project engineers, contractors, and vendors to collect and validate documentation, including engineering drawings, specifications, quality records, and as-built documents for all projects
Support project close-out by compiling and organizing final documentation packages.
Coordination and Communication:
Provide Engineering support to all departments as required.
Direct/assist outside engineers in obtaining information for the design of capital projects
Facilitate meetings and follow-ups related to engineering documentation and MOC.
Job Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Engineering Technology, with a focus in Mechanical, Chemical, or a related field.
Over 3 years of engineering support experience in capital (CAPEX) projects within industrial facilities.
Proven experience managing technical documentation, including drawings, quality records, and as-built packages.
Proficiency in Autodesk software (AutoCAD, Vault), Microsoft SharePoint, Microsoft Office Suite, and other engineering tools.
Experience with SAP and project management platforms (e.g., Aconex, Procore, Planisware) is considered an asset.
Familiarity with construction workflows, engineering standards, project documentation practices, and regulatory compliance.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, project-driven environment.

Pay: $87,706.00-$108,845.00 per year
