Reporting to the Engineering Supervisor and working in collaboration with the Engineering team, the Engineering Coop Student will support and contribute to various exciting projects, supporting the design of gas distribution projects. Your responsibilities will extend to material specification and research, providing technical support that adds depth to your engineering skill set. If you are a motivated, self driven Mechanical or Petroleum Engineering student excited to tackle meaningful and challenging assignments, we want to hear from you!
Your key responsibilities

  • Assist in various projects related to the gas utility, including project estimates, design and other special projects.
  • Assist in analysing asset conditions and standards for designs.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to internal and external stakeholders.
What you bring
  • You are effective in communication and analytical skills.
  • General knowledge of Utility Distribution systems.
  • You have strong attention to detail.
  • Possess excellent organizational, time-management and problem-solving skills.
  • Must be able to work effectively in a team setting with minimal supervision.
  • Knowledge/Ability to use AutoCAD for design.
  • Knowledge/Ability to use Esri ArcGIS to ensure accuracy of all data regarding your project.
Qualifications
  • Completed a minimum of one year of engineering studies at an accredited College or University.
  • Knowledge of or the ability to learn the applicable Utility Codes and Alberta Occupational Health and Safety Regulations.
  • Possession of a valid Alberta Class 5 Driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
