We are in the need for an Engineering Conference Assistant ? PDAC to support a prominent international entrepreneur attending the Prospectors & Developers Association of Canada (PDAC) conference, one of the most influential mining events in the world!
You will serve as the executive?s on-the-ground support throughout the PDAC conference, becoming their trusted right hand, guide, and information-gathering partner. This is an immersive, fast-paced role, part strategy partner, part field assistant, part high-level observer. Think of it as acting as the ?conference caddy? for a VIP guest navigating hundreds of critical interactions. This is not a typical assistant role, It is a front-row seat to high-level international business.
You will have the rare chance to:

  • Shadow a high-profile entrepreneur throughout one of the largest mining conferences in the world
  • Witness deal discussions, investor conversations, and technical evaluations up close
  • Build exposure to the mining sector far earlier than most students or new graduates
  • Observe how senior leaders analyze information, build relationships, and make decisions
  • Gain a standout resume experience that sets you apart in engineering, mining, consulting, or business pathways

Engineering Conference Assistant - Responsibilities:
  • Accompany the executive throughout all exhibition halls at PDAC (10 AM ? 6 PM daily)
  • Take clear, detailed handwritten notes during conversations, demonstrations, and meetings
  • Collect brochures, organize information, and create brief summaries for post-conference follow-up
  • Visit every exhibition booth with the executive and document key responses
  • Manage materials and carry a conference bag while navigating crowded environments
  • Represent the executive with professionalism and polish
  • Meet the executive each morning before departing to the conference venue
The Successful Candidate Has:
  • Currently in their 3rd or 4th year of engineering studies, or is a recent engineering graduate is an asset, but not required.
  • High energy, stamina, and comfort being on their feet all day in busy, crowded spaces
  • Strong note-taking ability and excellent attention to detail
  • A personable, confident, and professional presence
  • Tech-savviness; Excel skills helpful but not essential as most notes will be handwritten
  • Availability for the full period of March 1?4, from 10am-6pm.
Compensation and Benefits:
  • Hourly compensation of $25?$30, depending on experience
