Engineering- Co- Op/Intern

The

Co-op Mechanical Design Engineer

is an integral member of the 4 person Engineering group. The student assists with design solutions; inspection and testing of parts, components and subassemblies; and editing of documentation.

Responsibilities:

Develops Product and Production documentation including user and parts manuals.

Designs tooling and jigs, incremental improvements and product add-ons for existing wheel chairs.

Designs and completes tests to validate components.

Inspects parts and writes corrective action reports.

Carries out other duties as required.

Skills required:

Self-starter with strong organizational, time management and communication skills.

Experience with current generation 3D modeling CAD software, preferably SolidWorks.

Strong mechanical aptitude and hands on design and testing skills.

Good ability to work individually and within a team.

Ability to make sound decisions in a manner consistent with the essential job functions.
