Reporting to the Manager of Infrastructure, this position provides technical, customer and administrative support related to a variety of municipal engineering functions, such as traffic safety, road maintenance, water, sewer and drain servicing and the administration of related permit applications. Technical work will be carried out under the direction of a senior engineering technologist or professional engineer to ensure technical adequacy and conformance with municipal standards.
The ideal candidate will have or be:
A Diploma in Civil Engineering Technology and one (1) year of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience in a municipal government or engineering consulting environment.
A valid B.C. driver's licence (Class 5).
Be eligible for membership in the Society of Applied Science Technologists and Technicians of B.C. as an Applied Science Technologist (A.Sc.T) or Certified Technician (C. Tech.) designation, or the equivalent.
