Pharmascience is presently looking for an Engineering and Validation Manager for its Candiac site.

Tasks and responsibilities :

• Responsible for achieving and respecting the budget for the operations and R&D capital plan.
• Evaluates business opportunities in terms of feasibility, technological requirements and budget.
• Provides support to Operations & R&D department through technical solutions, expansion, process improvement, new technology, equipment design selection.
• Manages the engineering project management team, including modification of existing facilities, expansion, construction of new buildings and installation of required equipment.
• Manages programs under the responsibility of the Equipment and Systems Validation group, including pilot and production plants, laboratories and warehouses.

Skills, knowledge and abilities :

• Capable of handling multiple projects simultaneously
• Stress and Change Management skills
• Good communication skills and sense of urgency (Priority management)
• Promotes good interactions and team work
• Master computer platforms : Microsoft Office Suite, AutoCAD, MS Project computer softwares
• Registered with the OIQ (Ordre des Ing\xc3\xa9nieurs du Qu\xc3\xa9bec), an asset
• PMP Certification, an asset
• ASP Construction
• Bilingual English / French (oral and written). The Manager will collaborate with suppliers outside the Province of Quebec.

Education : Bachelor

Experience : 5 years: experience in people management
5 years: experience in the pharmaceutical industry (sterile and OSD manufacturing)
10 years: experience in engineering project management
