The Engineering and Quality Coordinator supports the production supervisors, technicians, customer service representatives, factory representatives and customers on all technical aspects of Kito Crosby's product range. This support covers areas such as quality, production process, product application issues, customer enquiries, training, and root cause analysis for warranty and/or product failures.
Technical Support
o Establish a strong focus on internal and external customer service
o Provide technical support via direct communication to sales, marketing and customers
o Provide all necessary internal and external technical support for the complete range of Kito Crosby products
Manufacturing Process
o Provide technical support and assist in resolution of manufacturing problems as required
o Develop Bill of Materials to facilitate product assembly
o Develop and maintain work instructions for production purposes
Training
o Provide product training to sales and customers
o Provide process training to technicians
Quality
o Assist in the development, coordination, and maintenance of product manuals, line drawings, technical data, and wiring diagrams.
o Assist with the resolution of quality issues
o Ensure proper upkeep and maintenance of revision controlled technical documents as required by the quality management system.
Warranty
o Assist with warranty investigation
o Generate reports
Qualifications:
Education and Experience
o Degree or Diploma from a Mechanical, Electrical or Industrial program
o Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office Products
o Thorough knowledge of AutoCAD is required
o Experience with 3D cad software is an asset
Knowledge Skills and Abilities
o Strong communication skills are essential
? Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing
? Bilingual (English and French) is considered an asset
o Possess good proofreading, editing and technical writing skills
o Possess basic knowledge of mechanical and electrical theory
o Demonstrate strong attention to detail and problem solving
o Both mechanically and electrically inclined
o Ability to work independently at all times
o Capable of working accurately and efficiently on multiple projects
o Experience in material handling industry is an asset
Working Conditions:
Work is primarily done in front of a PC and on the phone
Manual labour with product is required for training and troubleshooting issues
Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds on a routine basis
Safety shoes must be worn at all times when in the warehouse
Hours of work are Monday to Friday 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. Hours may fluctuate on business volume.
Travel:
5% of time may be spent travelling within Canada
o To customer sites
o Between Mississauga and Burnaby operations as required
