Agilus is recruiting for a Engineering Analyst II in the Oil and Gas Sector in North York, Ontario. Engineering Analyst opportunity with our Oil and Gas client in North York or Chatham for a 1 year contract. A typical day:

• Perform quantitative risk analysis of Gas transmission and distribution pipeline systems using a consistent framework consistent with the risk governance requirements
• Support Integrity software implementation, data collection, execution, and modelling development for risk & integrity
• Perform root cause analysis, risk refinement and what-if assessments to quantify the impact of possible remedial actions
• Use engineering statistics, simulations, and data analytics to support effective integrity & risk decisions

Successful candidates will have:

• Excellent communication and presentation skills
• Engineering degree with 2 years of experience
• Relevant industry experience in conducting quantitative risk assessments (QRAs), especially FTA, ETA and consequence analysis considered an asset
• Relevant work experience including pipeline engineering, station engineering, integrity management, and risk assessment considered an asset
• Experience building analytical models, statistical modelling, applied data science, machine learning, model evaluation considered an asset
• Proficient in computer science concepts and experience in various coding languages (e.g. SQL, VB, Python, etc.)

Total rewards:

• DURATION: 1 year from start date with possibility of extension (to 17 months)
• HYBRID: working on site Monday/Tuesday/Thursday and remotely Wednesday/Friday
• LOCATION: North York or Chatham
