Reporting to the Sr. Supervisor, Process Control & SIS, you will provide process control technical leadership and support for the operation and maintenance of the Carseland Nitrogen Operations. This facility is an ammonia and urea manufacturing facility with AVEVA and Schneider control systems (Foxboro I/A and Triconex, primarily).

What you will do:

Provide day-to-day process control support for the various systems on site, including the distributed control system (DCS), safety instrumented system (SIS), historians, human-machine interfaces (HMIs), advanced process controls (APC), and operator training simulator (OTS)

Design and implement smaller MOCs, and direct the process control design work for larger projects

Use oversight software to monitor and improve the health of the control systems

Own the process control documentation at the site level, and ensure that Nutrien\'s wider standards and processes are followed

Ensure that the control systems applications on site follow Nutrien and industry standards and best practices

Participate in PHAs and other risk analysis activities

Participate in wider Nutrien process control networks

What you will bring:

Bachelor\'s degree in engineering, and a professional member in good standing with APEGA

Ten years\' experience in process control of continuous industrial chemical processes

Ability to work in an industrial facility that operates 24/7

Self-motivation and a continuous improvement mindset

Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate to employees, contractors, and external vendors - both written and verbal
