Job Description
Split-fire Sales, a manufacturer of Log Splitters and Wood Chippers , is looking for a mechanical engineer to complete prototype designs, tooling/fixtures, and associated manuals / costing. The successful candidate must have a hands on approach and must have a good understanding of mechanics, solidworks and problem-solving skills. Furthermore, this individual will be tasked with taking Split-fire's new unique products to market, from concept - to prototype - through testing - and into production.

Responsibilities:
Complete prototype projects, from concept to production. Create detailed drawings for prototypes and current products in Solidworks. Manage Spilt-fire's custom fabrication opportunities. (quoting, designing, shipping) Design and create tooling and jigs for shop floor when needed. Complete cost analysis associated with prototypes and current products. Complete owner's manuals and associated documents for new products. Manage Split-fire's SHRED file associated with R&D. Troubleshoot production problems and assist in research and purchasing of new fabrication machinery.
Requirements:
Manufacturing - Engineering degree. ?High level of proficiency with Solidworks software. Mechanical knowledge and experience. Knowledge of MS office, specifically excel. Good time management and organizational skills. ?Communication and interpersonal skills. Team player with both office and manufacturing staff. ?Self-motivated with a results-driven approach. Critical thinking and problem-solving skills.

?Willing to hire graduates, however any experience is an asset. 2-4 years manufacturing / mechanical experience

$75,000 - $90,000 Split-fire Benefits Bonuses
