Emera Newfoundland & Labrador (ENL), a wholly owned subsidiary of Emera Inc. (EMA- TXS), is responsible for operating and maintaining the 500-megawatt HVdc Maritime Link Project. The Maritime Link transmits energy between the island of Newfoundland to Nova Scotia. With office locations in both provinces, ENL is committed to ensuring that the Maritime Link transmits clean, renewable energy for Nova Scotia. The Maritime Link consists of 400km of overland transmission lines, HVdc converters and related site assets and two 170km submarine cables crossing the Cabot Strait from Cape Ray, Newfoundland to Point Aconi, Nova Scotia.

We are currently looking for an Engineer, Marine Assets to join our team in a permanent position. Reporting to the Senior Manager, Engineering, you will be a key member of the Operations team, ensuring the reliability and performance of key energy infrastructure.
This role is the Engineering lead for all aspects of ENL's Marine Asset Management Framework. The assets of focus are the submarine cables, the cable protection system, the transition sites including Horizontal Directional Drill (HDD), HVdc land cables, HVdc cable terminations, and auxiliary equipment.
