De Havilland Aircraft of Canada is seeking motivated and technically curious engineering students to join our Core Engineering team for a 12-month internship. Opportunities are available in our Calgary, AB, Victoria, BC and Mississauga, ON offices. You will work directly with experienced engineers across a range of aircraft systems and disciplines, contributing to ongoing design, analysis, testing, and support activities that keep our aircraft performing safely and efficiently.

Responsibilities:

Depending on your team placement, you can expect to:



Assist in the creation and modification of engineering drawings and 3D CAD models (primarily using CATIA). Support the preparation and review of technical documents, reports, and compliance analyses for internal and regulatory use. Perform calculations and simulations for structural loads, performance assessments, stress analysis, or system sizing. Review and analyze aircraft test data, and help investigate in-service or production issues. Contribute to configuration management, bill of materials tracking, and engineering change notices (ECNs). Participate in design reviews, team meetings, and cross-functional coordination with other engineering groups, production, and customer support. Develop tools and scripts to automate engineering workflows or improve process efficiency (in Excel, MATLAB, Python, etc., as applicable). Shadow senior engineers and support field investigations, root cause analyses, and corrective actions. What We're Looking For:



Current enrollment in a Bachelor's degree in Aerospace, Mechanical, Electrical, or related engineering field. Completion of at least 2 years of study by the start of the internship. A strong interest in aircraft systems, structures, and design. Working knowledge of engineering tools such as CATIA, MATLAB, Excel/VBA, or other technical software (varies by role). Clear communication skills and the ability to take initiative while working as part of a team.
