IntroductionDovre Canada Limited is pleased to offer the following opportunity: Engineer, Industrial Engineering, located in Halifax, NS.This is a permanent full-time position.FunctionOur client is seeking an Industrial Engineer to work in the Industrial Engineering team. This role will be to understand performance through KPI, data analysis and implement standardization of processes. The engineer will also identify and execute improvements to production procedures, processes, and controls. The Engineer will be expected to execute and demonstrate excellence in elements of the role profiles for all Industrial Engineering work scopes and be interchangeable at any time to align with scope demand.Key Responsibilities:\xe2\x96\xbaMeasuring Key Performance Indicators (KPI\xe2\x80\x99s) and maintaining process excellence.
\xe2\x96\xbaLead stakeholder engagement/ change activities including leading change to improve production procedures, processes, and controls.
\xe2\x96\xbaExecution and coaching of Continuous Improvement and Lean Manufacturing tools such as: Root cause analysis, SIPOC, Value Stream Mapping, Kaizen events, FMEA, Fishbone, etc.
\xe2\x96\xbaPerform process improvement projects using Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve, and Control principles.
\xe2\x96\xbaExecute and implement key elements of Industrial Engineering\xe2\x80\x99s work breakdown structure:

  • 5S standardization.
  • Standard operating procedures.
  • Performance metrics.
  • Capacity analysis.
  • Workplace standards.
  • Total productive maintenance.
  • Overall equipment effectiveness.
  • Process improvement.
\xe2\x96\xbaBuild relationships & communicate effectively with internal stakeholders.Requirements
  • 4-8 years\xe2\x80\x99 work experience in complex industrial or manufacturing environment.
  • Demonstrated experience with manufacturing process assessment and development.
  • Demonstrated experience using Lean Manufacturing / Six Sigma tool sets in an industrial workplace setting.
  • Demonstrated ability to foster positive relationships both with and among team members.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and persuasively in English, both orally and in writing.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Products.
Education:
  • Recognized Degree in Engineering \xe2\x80\x93 Industrial, Manufacturing, Mechanical or similar.
  • Accredited or eligible for accreditation with Engineers Nova Scotia \xe2\x80\x93 P. Eng.
  • \xe2\x80\x9cChange Management\xe2\x80\x9d or \xe2\x80\x9cLeading Change\xe2\x80\x9d certification, or equivalent training or experience.
